Big bangs, loud cheers, bright fireworks. Whoa. Welcome onboard New Year.
So you see, my phone's time is still configured according to Japan's and when I saw 00:00, I automatically went ballistic and nearly wished everyone New Year. Halfway through typing the message, I realized it was still an hour to 2009. Which dampened my spirits hahas. Thus, no New Year message for everyone from me. Lols.
A secondary school friend sent me a message, thanking me for the wonderful 2008 he had, which prompted me to reply back, saying that the last time I met him was in 2007, on Graduation Night. Hahas. Bitch.
I skipped the Countdown Party on Channel 5 to watch
Love is Cinta
.Aaaargh *goes hyper once more* Its like, my all-time favourite movie. Hahahs. Yehh, the storyline and plot's abit too cheesy and unrealistic, but heck. That was one movie I felt good crying over when I first watched it.
Basically, its about this guy, Ryan, who told his friend 'I Love You', but gave the wrong translation, saying love meant 'sayang' which is more of care. And it so happens Cinta, which is the right meaning for Love, is his friend's name. But he was about to migrate to America, when he changed his mind and ran back to meet his friend. Along the way, he saved a girl from a car wreck and died when the car exploded. Eventually, he's given a new body and 3 days to tell Cinta the true meaning of 'Love'. Unfortunately, the new body used to belong to a gay, and no one recognizes him and he had to go through a 1001 trials to prove to his mum, dad and Cinta that he's Ryan. In the end, at the very last hour, he manage to convince Cinta that he's Ryan and they share one final romantic moment in the sky before he departed forever.
And Irwansyah plays Ryan, while Acha plays Cinta. Rafi Ahmad plays the departed gay dude whose body Ryan use, and Andika Pratama *yes, the guy in Butterfly, another favourite movie* is the hot dude who chases after Cinta, but doesn't really win her heart. Hahahahahs.
